Intel Masters Scholarships awarded to 16 UCD graduate students in Science and Engineering

The Intel Masters Scholarship Programme has been successfully running for three years now and it aims to connect both researchers and students to fuel the innovation economy of Ireland. In addition to the scholarship, the recipients are assigned an Intel employee mentor to provide them with guidance and support on career development throughout their studies.

Speaking at a special award ceremony for the students at Intel Ireland’s Leixlip Campus, UCD President Professor Andrew Deeks described the scholarships as a key element of the strategic partnership between UCD and Intel:

“I am very pleased to see the strengthening of the relationships in education and research between Intel and UCD College of Engineering and Architecture and UCD College of Science as we continue to build our portfolio of strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships supporting economic and social development in Ireland and globally.”

The strategic partnership between UCD and Intel was signed in March 2016 to deepen collaboration on research activities, talent development and national policy associated with education and research. UCD Foundation is delighted to announce the next cohort of Intel Masters scholars and we wish them every success for the year ahead.
